Service

Whether in an elected office or as a private citizen, I have always been motivated by the desire to be of service to others. As a two-term member of the State House of Representatives, I was honored to serve our communities in building a stronger Georgia. My former district, which included parts of Atlanta, East Point and College Park, sent me to the Capitol from 2009 to 2013 to fight for public schools, advocate for affordable health care, and bring home state appropriations to the institutions of higher education within the community. Within the community, I have been a long-time active member of the NPU, involved parent at my son's neighborhood APS schools, and am a member of the Vestry of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

I would be honored to bring my experience and knowledge of the legislative process to the service of State Senate District 38. Our communities need a strong and consistent voice representing us under the Gold Dome.
